So, in Mark, what is &quot;the beginning of the Gospel?&quot; Is that Mark&#039;s title for the book, thus referring to his entire book as &quot;the beginning?&quot; Or is it referring to John the Baptist? Or, rather, is it referring to the prophecy of Isaiah?

Also, I wonder how much of Isaiah Mark had in view in quoting 40;3. I recently blogged on this myself, and I&#039;d love to hear your thoughts, because as of now I don&#039;t know how to answer these questions.</description>
