I recently discovered your site and absolutely love it! I have had undergrad and grad training in NT Greek, including DA, so your site is right up my alley as I continue to learn and advance my skills on my own. Additionally, I can’t wait for your Discourse Grammar to be available! The draft you supplied as a link is superb! Love the comparisons with Wallace.

It’s probably pretty obvious that I marked BOTH “crusty old professor” AND “none of the above applies to me.” But I think you know that I am trying better to understand Discourse Criticism and you’ve done more than anyone I know to make the arcana of this discipline accessible to “crusty old professors” who are trying to make sense of the gobbledygook.

I read this because I am interested in DA after having taken a class on it under Fanning using Levinsohn. I enjoy the academics but am not currently employing it for ministry or otherwise.

I’m a PhD student taking an Adv. Grk. Grammar seminar. Most of my reading has to do with aspect and discourse analysis. I plan to write a paper on aspectual choice in Acts this semester, thus I am always interested in discussion you carry out here at your blog! Keep up the good work.
