		<description>I have often wondered why we try for the novel...and it may be as simple as: it attracts an audience.  If so, the flesh is alive and well.  I read an insightful evangelical book last week and immediately saw that a number of other evangelicals attacking the phrasing as heretical.  The point of the author was that the anthropomorphic speech COULD lead us to a faulty conclusion. And yet, the basic idea he was presenting was not addressed, only that the way he said it could lead to this error or that error.  And how the traditional view (&quot;their view&quot;) is best because....&quot;   You get the idea. 

We people sure are funny.  We are teachers and we must &quot;be right&quot; even if it means that we don&#039;t &quot;get it right.&quot;  Love the post.  

I just don&#039;t want to have to apply it to my own practices! :)  Too convicting.  I guess I should stop calling myself &quot;classically reformed&quot; or &quot;classically Calvinistic.&quot;  Ha!  Oh, boy!!!!   :)  

Pray for me and those I teach.
