I really appreciate this point (and the follow-up). In writing a research paper recently I noticed exactly what you said. My paper was on open theism and as I read journal articles from both sides it seemed clear that often both sides didn&#039;t interact with the other&#039;s arguments on their own terms. They would simply assume their own presuppositions in decrying the opposing evidence.

I read dozens of articles (written over several years) and the discussion is only getting re-hashed over and over... not much progress going on. I know I need to grow in this area the deeper I get into theological studies.</description>
